Madonna with el niño y dos ángeles (Niccolò by Ser Sozzo Tegliacci)

Madonna with the child and two angels is an early work of the painter and miniaturist Niccolò di sosozzo, painted in tempera and gold punching around 1530. Originally it was the top part of an altar; however, today it is divided. The image was to show a virgin sitting on a throne, in full size, surrounded by angels. Remains of a golden silver cover are visible on the child's clothes. The rest of the work has not been found, although in the Pinacoteca Nacional de Siena there is a similar polyptych and it is signed by the same artist in 1362.

This work was part of the collection of Prince Leon Ourusoff in France before 1929. Later it was bought by Thomas S. Hyland in 1959 and in 2011 it was auctioned at Sotheby's, New York, United States. There it was acquired by Museo Soumaya
