Dan Păltinişanustadion


Stadium Dan Păltinişanu is a sports stadium from Timişoara, Romania. The stadium serves for various sports but is mainly known as the home of FC Timişoara football club. The stadium is named after Dan Păltinişanu, a former Romanian football player who died in 1995.

The stadium has existed since 1963 and can accommodate around 40,000 spectators (of which 33,000 seats). It is the biggest stadium in Romania. It is sometimes used for non-sporting events such as music concerts. In 2006, Shakira joined the stadium.

In 2007 it was announced that the stadium will be renewed and that it is intended to accommodate around 50,000 spectators in the future. 45° 44′ 26″ NB, 21° 14′ 39″ OL
