Pearl of great price


Pearl of Great Price is a book written by the American Joseph Smith, founder of the Movement of the Saints of the Last Days. It is one of the books considered sacred by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and contains information about its faith and doctrinal principles. The book contains the following texts: Selections from the Book of Moses Parts of the book Genesis of the translation of the Bible of Joseph Smith, work begun in June of 1830. The Book of Abraham Written in 1835, supposedly from some Egyptian papyri that came into the hands of Joseph Smith and belonged to Abraham. It was published in series in the newspaper of the church Times and Seasons, publishing the first number the 1 of March of 1842 in Nauvoo, Illinois. According to Mormonism, papyri were purchased by Joseph Smith from a traveler named Chandler who had two papyri and four mummies; after the great Chicago fire of 1871, the papyri would have reappeared at the end of the 20th century.
