Washington City Paper


The Washington City Paper is a free weekly newspaper in Washington DC DC metropolis.

The newspaper was founded by Russ Smith in 1981 and was owned by Chicago Reader from 1982 to 2007. In July 2007, both newspapers were sold to Creative Loafing Inc. The former Chicago Reader, now called Quarterfold, still owns the buildings where the newspapers are located and have a small share in other weekly newspapers.
