Absynth

Absynth is a virtual, commercial and proprietary synthesizer, currently in its fifth generation. It is available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS. Developed by Native Instruments, it combines a series of traditional (subtractive) and modern (granular, sample-based) synthesis techniques to create complex sounds and timbres.

Can be used independently or as a plugin within digital audio stations such as Logic Pro or Cubase. It supports the most common plugin formats: VST, Audio units, RTAS, Dxi, etc. Synthesis

From a technical point of view, Absynth has three main modules, each of which can be used for a particular type of synthesis: subtractive, frequency modulation, amplitude or granular modulation, as well as direct audio sampling. Each of the modules also has a filter (12/24 dB, LP, HP, BP, Notch and Comb), as well as a distortion algorithm and effects. The effects consist of a trio of resonant filters, "tube" reverberation, and a multi-tap echo. Absynth also has a modulation matrix that allows the user to use three LFOs to create motion in the sound. In addition, Absynth has the option of graphically editing waveforms, which can be used to modulate a wide range of parameters.
