Classic Climbing

Classic or traditional climbing is a form of climbing in which special emphasis is placed on traditional methods of insurance; using as anchor points non-fixed systems (embedded, nails, knots, etc.), which are placed in cracks or natural holes, and then recovered. We can say that in this modality the climber recovers its anchors unlike others that have anchorage systems fixed in the wall before the escalation (own of the escalation sport).

It is now included in the Climbing Area category in the Mountaineering article instead of the old Climbing in former rock zones as opposed to Sports Climbing and because by definition any climbing other than on ice is in rock areas. / p>
