It is impossible to kill and is the only one who beat the collector the most powerful of the Heroes appeared in this universe since he is the only one who knew his universe. It was built on the existence of two other universes, the Marvel Universe and the DC Universe.
His alleged debut in Amalgam comics dates from Strange Tales # 100
In Dr. Strangefate # 1 try to get the keys that Axel Asher has in order to preserve the Amalgam universe for this recourse to the hiring of Jade Nova (Green Lantern / Nova, Skulk (Solomon Grundy / Hulk) and White Witch (Zatanna / Scarlet Witch), although Asher is captured by the latter, he never reveals where the keys are and he escapes.
During the All-Access miniseries, Access (Axel Asher) suspects that Strangefate managed to survive somehow by getting Batman's help to confront Dr. Strange (Help greatly questioned by fans), where it is revealed that Strangefate somehow managed to survive and Dr. Strange's awareness of the presence of the X-Men and later the JLA, and with this allows new amalgams known as the X-League (most different from those presented after the series DC vs. Marvel / Marvel vs DC), finally Axel Asher manages to get Dr. Strange to take possession of his body and restore the heroes and manages to contain the Amalgam line in a crystal that is deposited in Axel.
Dr. Strangefate does not appear within the Amalgam vol. 2 of 1997 but you can clearly see his accessories on a panel inside the comic Howard the Wolf # 1. However as in this comic you see the death of all the heroes of the Amalgam line is considered out of continuity.
