Guillermo Rubio Navarrete


General Guillermo Rubio Navarrete was a Mexican military man who participated in the Mexican Revolution. He was born in Queretaro in 1882.

He entered the Military College in 1893 and graduated as lieutenant of the faculty of artillery. He presented his services in the various regiments of the weapon, acquiring great prestige as a gunner. For example, he emphasized like head of the artillery of the Federal Division of the North, in the campaign against the orozquismo, in 1912; then he was head of the artillery against the insurgents of the Citadel during the Ten Tragic. In 1913 and 1914 he emphasized in his campaigns against the constitutionalists in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, which earned him his promotion to general division. Licensed by the Treaties of Teoloyucan, he retired to civilian life and died in 1950. Bibliography
