Kakuro

Kakuro is a kind of logical enigma that is often referred to as a mathematical crossword transcript. Basically, Kakuro puzzles are linear programming problems, and can be solved using mathematical matrix techniques, even if they are typically solved by hand. Kakuro's riddles are regular in most, if not all, of the publications of mathematics and logical enigma in the United States. Dell Magazines proposed the names of Cross Sums and Cross Addition, but also the Japanese name Kakuro (the Japanese abbreviation for kasan kurosu: 加 算 ク ロ ス Addition + Cross) that seems to have gained general acceptance and puzzles appear graduated in this way now in most publications. The popularity of Kakuro in Japan is immense, only after the famous Sudoku among other celebrated offers of the famous Nikoli.
