Kranidi

Kranidi (in Greek: Κρανίδι, Katharevousa: Κρανίδιον) is a city and an ancient municipality in Argolis, on the outskirts of Peloponnese, Greece. Since the administrative reform of 2011 is part of the municipality Ermionida, which constitutes a municipal unit. Some say that the name is derived from the word "Koronida", while others claim that it is from the word "Kranaos", which means "valley of stones". It is located in the eastern part of Argolis, on the easternmost "finger" of the Peloponnese peninsula. It is 8 km west of Ermioni, 28 km south of Epidaurus and 38 km southeast of Nafplio.

Kranidi is known for being the second home of several prominent celebrities, including the royal couple of Dutch king William Alexander and Queen Maxima, Russian President Vladimir Putin and actor Sean Connery.
