Cameron Sinclair


Cameron Sinclair (2011)

Cameron Sinclair (London, England, November 16, 1973) is an architect and co-founder of Architecture for Humanity (1999), a nonprofit organization that provides architectural solutions and design assistance in cases of humanitarian crises and needy societies. Sinclair already helped to help after the 2004 tsunami, after Hurricane Katrina and after the 2005 earthquake.

Sinclair enjoyed his education at the University of Westminster and The Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London. In 2006, he wrote the book Design Like You Give A Damn: Architectural Solutions to Humanitarian Crises. Sinclair regularly contributes to Worldchanging.com, a weblog that presents ideas about sustainable development. Open Architecture Network

In 2006 he was one of three winners of the TED Award. He used his One Wish to Change the World he earned for his current work on building and growing the Open Architecture Network. In doing so, Sinclair wants to create a global open source network that allows architects, governments and non-governmental organizations to share and apply design plans to try to provide the whole world of housing.
