Laetare

Leatare, name that receives the fourth Sunday of Lent, according to the liturgical calendar of the majority of the churches of Latin Rites (including the Catholic Church, the Anglican Church, the ancient catholic Church, and the Lutheran Church). The Anglican Bishop of Willesden (London) with three priests on Laetare Sunday, wearing pink robes.

Laetare means "rejoice". It begins like this, because it should be understood as a rest during Lent, which represents the retreat through which Jesus Christ passed, for forty days.

The liturgical color (used in the vestments of the priest) corresponding to this Sunday is the pink, however, the use of this color is not common, so it usually continues to wear the characteristic color of the Lenten Season, the purple color.
