The Go-Ahead Group PLC is a British public transport company. The company originated from Northern General Transport (NGT), a subsidiary of the National Bus Company (NBC). In 1987, the NBC sold Northern General Transport to the management of Northern General Transport (a so-called managementbuy-out). After that, the name was changed to "Go-Ahead Group."
