Johannes Blooker (1793-1858)

Johannes Blooker (1796 - 1858) is one of the founders of Blooker Cacao and married to Willemijna Puijman and had a son Jan Jacobus Jurriaan Blooker (born around 1817).

Johannes Blooker's father is Jurriaan Blooker. This has been a snuff factories since 1798 in mill 'De Vriendschap'. Twelve years after his death, his sons John and Cornelis († 1836) began a chocolate factory in 1813. After a few extensions and a big fire, the 'Steam Chocolate Factory' moved to Amsterdam, on the Weesperzijde 194 and the Omval, where the Leeuwenburgh building, former headquarters of the former Postbank, is located in 1886. Zandbergen

In 1896 Blooker buys the estate Zandbergen at Huis ter Heide. The garden was laid out by J. and H. Copijn in 1860, but Blooker made the park adapt to the English landscape style. He also allows a pond to be planted, and heaps are planted with tree groups. The tea cup is coated with field buns containing the year MDCC (1700). The boulders house now looks like a ruin.

The estate is crossed through the Amersfoort Straatweg. The house was presumably designed by Jacob van Campen, there are also a coach house and stables. These are in the English park on one side of the street road, on the other side is mainly heath and is called 'The Transfer'. The park is open today and is called the Blooker Park. It has been run by Copijn since 1995. Blooker does not buy Zandbergen as much as a pleasure or as an investment. He puts on the Overweg roads. These have been called since 1906, including the Potterlaan and the Rembrandtlaan. Today there is a villa park with 40 houses. Trivia
