Tilt wing aircraft

A Hiller X-18 showing the transition from vertical to horizontal of its tilting wings. A pivoting wing aircraft is an aircraft capable of tilting its wings, allowing them to be held in the horizontal plane during flight, and being able to rotate them in the vertical plane for takeoff or landing. Tilt-wing aircraft are capable of operating under take-off and vertical landing conditions. Their design is similar to that of the convertiplanes, a design in which the power plant turns instead of the wing. Tilt wing aircraft
