Johanna (Hannie) Bruinsma-Kleijwegt (Nij Beets, 1936) is a Dutch former politician and member of the PvdA.
Bruinsma is a politically active family. Her younger sister Dineke of As-Kleijwegt has been Mayor of Assen from 1990 to 2007, while her brother Corstiaan Kleijwegt was Mayor of Hellevoetsluis from 2001 to 2012.
She started in 1970 as a member of the city council of Oostdongeradeel, a function she completed until 1974. After that she has been a member of Provincial States of Friesland until 1991, also from 1981 to 1991.
In 1992, Bruinsma was appointed Mayor of Zaanstad. In this capacity, she entered into a speech in 1995, after she had critically criticized the departing chief of police in an interview with a newspaper. Although she survived a motion of distrust, she went to retirement a year later.
