Motocross of the Azen

The Motocross of Azen was an annual international motorcross competition in the North Brabant village of Sint Anthonis. The first race was run on September 7, 1947 (still under the name of the International Motocross of Sint Anthonis). The last race on the then "De Hoef" circuit took place in 1984 with over 30,000 visitors. The organization of the event - one of Europe's largest motorcycling races - was held by the St Tunnisse Motor Club ("SMC").

Among the participants of the Motocross der Azen were vedets like Roger de Coster and Joël Robert.

In November 2007, an overview exhibition was held in Sint Anthonis on the Motocross, with a number of former participants present. Special attention was paid to Frans Sigmans from Bakel, the 2004 Deceased Motocross of Aces winner of 1967 and 1968. Externe link
