Helvetica Chimica Acta, abbreviated as Helv. Chim. Acta, is a Swiss chemistry journal founded in 1918 and published monthly. It played a determining role in the consolidation of organic terminology. One of its representatives, Amé Pictet (1857-1937), was one of the six members of the Swiss representation and acted like secretary of the Congress of Chemistry of Geneva (1892). As a representative of the Helvetica Chemica Acta, one of the leading international chemistry journals, he continued to do extensive work on the chemical nomenclature reforms that followed that of Geneva.

According to the Journal Citation Reports, this publication has an impact factor of 1,138 in 2014.
