Adrián Pablo Subotovsky, born August 31, 1969, Buenos Aires province) is an Argentine neoclassical guitarist who formed bands like Samson and Quemar, as well as having a long history as a soloist.

Biography

Adrian has focused on music since childhood and specializes in electric guitar in the early eighties. Their musical formation was influenced by the classic European rock, like the Beatles and Deep Purple, and mainly by the Swedish neoclassic guitarist, Yngwie Malmsteen.

At the beginning I participated in the local neoclassical metal, forming part of Samson (band led by Hugo Racca and Horacio Cacho Darias, of Plus) in the decade of the eighty. In the nineties, I set up his solo project, called Odyssey, in which I took an album called "Live in Leningrad" a totally original album. I count on the participation of musicians such as Saul Blanch (from Plus and Rata Blanca), Adrian Barilari (from Rata Blanca) and Walter Meza (from Horcas).

He also collaborated with Norberto Rodríguez, Ruben Trombini and Pablo Catanio (ex Walter Giardino Temple) in Quemar1 and later edited a disc with Ruben Trombini called Metal Project.2 In the nineties he continued his training under masters of national classical music, such as Edgardo Cattaruzzi and Alejandro Cattaneo (of the Ludwig Van Beethoven Symphony Orchestra) and Antonio Agri (of the Astor Piazzolla Orchestra) .3 He expanded his repertoire musical composing, performing and recording a symphonic work called End of Century, which was released as a CD in 2004.

In the last decade he has turned to tango, interpreting traditional tangos such as Por una cabeza, De Gardel and Adiós Nonino, by Piazzolla as tangos of their own composition.

His last album is called Subotango II, where he is accompanied by Carla Pugliese (bandoneón), Elbio Segovia (bass), Daniel Acosta (drums) and Alejandro Martínez de Sanzo

Collaborations and Contribution

He has collaborated with rock and tango figures, such as Carla Pugliese, in his album Electrica y Porteña (2006) and Graham Bonnet, lead singer of Rainbow and Alcatraz, with whom he played live in 2008. His compositions have been performed by tango voices such as Raul Lavie and Ricardo Chiqui Pereira, as Adrián Barilari and the opera, tenors Dario Schmunck and Luis Barrios. His work has been produced choreographically by the ballet school of Noemí Molinari. It is estimated that he is looking for a musical collaboration with Flavio Mendoza but it is just a rumor.
