Bergvorstadt Sulgen


Sulgen, also known as Bergvorstadt Sulgen, Schramberg-Sulgen or Schramberg Stadtteil Sulgen, is a borough (Stadtteil) of the city of Schramberg since 1939. From 1934 to 1939 Sulgen was an independent municipality in Württemberg. Before 1934 the "Sulgen" was a toponym that describes the space of the two municipalities of Sulgen and Saulgau. The Sulgen forming the Catholic part of the space, inheritance of the old Herrschaft Schramberg. The Sulgau was the Protestant part of the soil and belonged to historical Altwürttemberg. Nowadays Schramberg-Sulgen has an industrial and residential vocation. Notes and edit the code
