Fernand Meyer is a French tibetologist, anthropologist and historian.
Meyer is 2009 director of the École pratique des hautes études. In addition, he is responsible for the research, environment, society and culture in the Himalayan region for the Center National de la Recherche Scientifique.
He specializes in Tibetan medicine and researches therapies, life concepts and nature within Tibetan Buddhist and cultural traditions described in non-medical Tibetan literature.
Fernand Meyer wrote dozens of works together with others. He worked together with Anne-Marie Blondeau and Katia Buffetrille.
