Pvcd

PVCD, also called Packed Video CD, or as originally (exaggerated) Perfect Video CD, is a modification of Video CD format, becoming VCD NO STANDARD digital video on compact discs. Although not standard, many domestic DVD players accept it correctly. Technical characteristics

PVCD consists of a FREE modification (of PVCD LABS) of the quantization matrices of MPEG-1, and how to encode. The resolutions are 352 and 288. The bit rate ranges from 64 kb to 3000 kb per second.

In the face of video discs, it can be considered Video CD (VCD) and recorded as VIDEOCD NON-STANDARD. You can record between 120-180 minutes of video on a single 80-minute CD-R.

Its use became popular during a period because it was one of the best VCD formats due to its high quality, using very little space. Today it is mainly used by private users (fans).
