Theo De Ronde


Theo De Ronde (Ekeren (Antwerp), 1894 - Leuven, 1939) was a teacher and writer in Tienen. His father was from Binkom, but was a teacher in Ekeren. His mother was from Tienen. After the death of his father in 1899, the family moved to Tienen, where Theo De Ronde lived for more than 25 years.

From 1937 until his sudden death in 1939 he was the second director general of the N.I.R .. NIR

From 1922 to 1931 he was a teacher at Royal Atheneum, after which he studied at the Catholic University of Leuven.

He appeared: "Modern Dutch Essays" and, in collaboration with Julien Kuypers, "Our Literature in Imagine". (J. Kuypers was a teacher at the Provincial School of Normal in Tienen from 1916 to 1919).
