Brown and Vindec are British historical brands of motorcycles.
The company name was Brown Bros. Ltd., London. The brand name was "The Brown" in the early years.
Brown Bros was a wholesaler in auto, bicycle and motorcycle accessories. It was founded in 1897 by the Ernest, Albert, Frederic and John Brown brothers at Great Eastern Street in London, but originated in a company from 1892. Brown's accessory trade was one of the largest in the world. Finally, they also traded complete bikes, cars and motorcycles. From 1902, motorcycles were produced with the brand name "The Brown". These were 348 and 496 cc single-cylinder and 498 cc V-twin lateral motors. These include Minerva and Precision built-in motors. In 1916 production was terminated. After the First World War, she was rebooted, but the brand was now "Vindec" and the motorcycles became easier with light two-stroke engines and 300 cc JAP four-stroke engines. In 1929 the production of motorcycles finally ended.
