The Casa de Sessa is a Spanish noble house originally from the Crown of Castile, founded by El Gran Capitán, secondborn of the V Señor de Aguilar, of the House of Aguilar-Priego. Among the titles of the house were, besides the Duchy of Sessa itself, other duchies granted to the Great Captain by the Catholic Kings in the Kingdom of Naples, like the Duchy of Santángelo, the Duchy of Newfoundland, the Duchy of Andria and the Duchy of Montalto. Also in the Kingdom of Granada the house had the State of Órgiva (in the old Taha of Órgiva) and the place of Busquístar in the old Taha of Pitres.After the marriage of the II Duchess of Sessa with the IV Count of Cabra and its rugged succession, the House of Sessa was incorporated into the House of Goat.
