Unión Generaleña Party


The Partido Unión Generaleña (later called Union General) known by its acronym PUGEN was a Costa Rican political party. Originally founded as a local party of the canton of Pérez Zeledón in 1970 (also known as San Isidro del General, and its population as generaleños), it was later able to register nationally and in 1997 it changed its name to Partido Unión General. The president of the party for most of its history was Carlos A.
