Union locale

In union confederations and French union unions, the term "local union" refers to the union of trade unions and union sections of the same locality that are members of the confederation.

The local unions are responsible for organizing the confederal activity close to the field by bringing together the union members from the different sectors. However, their activity see their existence is very uneven in the territory, depending on the location of the union.

In fact, local unions exist mainly at the level of agglomerations. It also exists for neighborhoods with a large number of employees in various fields, for example the La Défense district in Paris or the Roissy airport zone.

Local unions are often only variations of the Departmental Union which is, for most organizations, the most active and influential level.

Like departmental unions, local unions are largely the heirs of the original double dynamic of French trade unionism. The first aspect of this logic was to unite the workers on the basis of their activity, from which the local or business unions or the federations, the second was to create these solidarities on an identity based on the territory. p> Related Articleschange the code
