Txuri-urdin (in English Blanquiazul) is the name given to the official anthem of the Royal Society of San Sebastian. In fact, txuri-urdin is the nickname of the fans or followers of said Basque team. It was composed and written in Basque in 1970 by Ricardo Sabadie. History

Throughout its history, the Royal Society has had different hymns and representative songs. The first song that has been recorded that was dedicated to the Royal and can therefore be considered his first anthem, was a march dedicated to the Guipuzcoan club, composed by Carmelo Betoré on April 27, 1923. In the 1950s, the master Antonino Ibarrondo composed a Basque march interpreted by txistularis, called To the Real Society of San Sebastián with letter of F. Ugarte. This catchy march was considered the anthem of the Royal Society until 1970. It was then when the then president of the Royal Society, José Luis Orbegozo, commissioned the composer and poet from San Sebastian Ricardo Sabadie to compose a new anthem for the club. This is how Txuri-urdin was born, the club's anthem since then. A few years after the birth of this hymn, the Royal Society lived the best years of its history, which in part contributed to the failure of the previous ones and to last until today. Currently, more than 40 years after its creation, it is the official anthem of the club.

It is written entirely in Basque and with a simple letter alludes basically to the character of the club as representative team of San Sebastián and Guipúzcoa. The Txuri-urdin has known numerous versions throughout its history. Sabadie himself interpreted the original version of the theme; Then came a choral version performed by the mixed choir of the Eskola Group. The most popular version, considered as classic, however, is that performed by the Guipuzcoan singer Joaquín Laría from the Topolino Radio Orquesta group. In the decade of the 90s, the version performed by the Orfeón Donostiarra was also well known. some years it rang before the Real Sociedad matches in Anoeta.
