Richard begins preparations to form his own company, and Lorelai offers to help him in arranging his office, acquiring the stationery, and assisting postulants with the post of secretary, since Richard's had given up on working with him. However, having enjoyed spending good times with his father, he hints that Lorelai will help him every day, and she replies that she has a job. Tired of everyone blaming Jess for the accident, Rory says that she is to blame as well, and when Dean returns, she explains in a letter what happened, although he does not bother to know that Jess will not come back. Lane discovers that a new music store has opened at Stars Hollow, and realizes he wants to be a drummer. Emily arranges to Richard a small ceremony for the inauguration of its new company, and Lorelai and its father amature. When Emily discovers Rory's plastered arm, she also blames Jess and Lorelai, and Rory bugs again and repeats that she is also guilty. After several days of fishing, Luke returns to the village, and Rory repeats that it was not his fault. Notes
