Jakab Cseszneky was a Hungarian aristocrat who lived in the 13th century. Biography

Jakab was the son of Mihály, a member of the Bána clan, and a knight of King Andrew II of Hungary. He was the spokesman of King Béla IV and also had the title of Governor of Trencsén. Around 1263, I built the Gothic castle of Csesznek in the mountains of Bakony called Cseszneky. His wife was the daughter of Márk Trencséni, member of the powerful clan Csák. His sons, Miklós, Lőrinc, Szomor and Mihály were partisans of the kings Ladislao IV and Carlos I of Hungary and fought bravely against Mateo Csák, de facto governor of the current western Slovakia.
