Oceanic Airlines

Oceanic Airlines, and less frequently Oceanic Airways, is the fictitious airline that is used in various movies, television shows and comic books.

The most famous use of this brand is in the television series Lost, where Oceanic Airlines appears with a highly stylized logo representing an Australian aboriginal motif, a porthole, an island or an "O" (from Oceanic) . The plot of the series begins with the collision of one of the flights of this airline: Flight 815 of Oceanic Airlines.

The airline with this name has also been used in many other media, with its first uses the 1960s. Before Lost, the most important use of Oceanic Airlines was in the 1996 film, Executive Decision . The producers of the film filmed several shots of two Boeing 747 aircraft with Oceanic Airlines logo (but not the same logo used later in Lost). This archive material has been reused in several films and television programs, spreading the brand of Oceanic Airlines through various fictitious and unrelated universes.
