Ramsberglift

The Ramsberglift was built in 1966 by Felix Wopfner and was renovated in 1986 by Doppelmayr. The cable car is a 'zubringer' which brings skiers to the ski resort at the Gerlosstein. The lift, a single-person chairlift, runs from Ramsau at 503 meters high to the Sonnalm at 1323 meters altitude. The area where the elevator is over is called 'Ramsberg' and is part of the municipality of Ramsau. The Ramsberg is mainly inhabited by farmers and their families. From a road you can reach an intermediate station so that things can be put in the chairs of the cable car. This intermediate station is only for residents of Ramsberg. From the cable car there is a panorama of the Zillertal, the Penken and the HochZillertal. Renewal in 1986

In 1986, the chairlift, together with the Sonnalmbahn, the Gerlossteinbahn and the Aribskogelbahn, was converted. This was necessary then because the Arbiskogerl piste to the Gerlossteinbahn valley station was very much loved. The Ramsberglift then got a higher capacity (which is now twice as high) and also the intermediate station at about 1000 meters height.
