The United Nations Transitional Administration in Eastern Slavonia, Baranya and Western Sirmia (UNTAES) was a United Nations peacekeeping mission in the eastern territories of Croatia between 1996 and 1998, established on the self-proclaimed republic of Eastern Slavonia, Baranya and Western Sirmia.

Following Operation Storm in mid-1995, the only part that remained of the Serb Republic of Krajina was that close to the border with Serbia. The ensuing Treaty of Dayton ended the first wave of Yugoslav wars, and established the framework for the return of territories in Slavonia, Baranya and Sirmia to Croatian jurisdiction.

UNTAES was coordinated by the Erdut agreement between the Government of Croatia and the representatives of the Serbs in the region. The mission began on 15 January 1996 and was designed to last at least a year, during which they were to monitor the demilitarization of these regions and ensure a peaceful reintegration of the territory into Croatia. The mission had a military and civilian component; more than 4,800 soldiers, 400 police officers and 99 military observers.

The mandate was extended for another year and ended on 15 January 1998. A support group of 180 United Nations civilian police officers remained to monitor the progress of the Croatian police and monitor the return of the refugees.
