Gandalf Alfgeirsson

Gandalf Alfgeirsson (Old Norse: Gandálf Álfgeirsson) was a legendary Viking king of Alvheim and Vingulmark in the 9th century, in southeastern Norway and is known for his mention in the Heimskringla saga of Snorri Sturluson. < / p>

Heimskringla quotes that Gandalf received the reign of his father Alfgeir. Gandalf fought against Halfdan the Black for the possession of the territory, but finally they reached an agreement to share the domain between both.

In another episode, apparently after the death of Gandalf, his three sons, Hysing, Helsing and Hake, tried to ambush Halfdan the Black one night, but the king was able to escape through the forest. Halfdan was able to return to his territory and organized an army with which he defeated the brothers, killing Hysing and Helsing, but Hake escaped and Halfdan seized the power of Vingulmark.
