Juglandales

The Juglandales were an order of flowering plants used in the Cronquist system. They were considered close to the Fagales, because it has small flowers, unisexual, and grouped in aments (the masculine ones), in addition presents equal distribution of bracts and bracteolas; small perianth; gynoecium superior to bicarpelar and fecumdación by chalazogamia. However, the most similar plants are the Julianaceae, which are inside Sapindales, differ from the Fagales, by the leaves always composed, and because they are always aromatic plants. Great controversy in the interpretation of flowers and fruits. Fruit in drupe from an inferior gynoecium, others interpret it as semi-infertile, considering that the fleshy shell is a hypanto.

In modern classifications it is considered part of the Fagales.
