Scale scale

Deep shell of an inland ship

Any inland ship whose depths can reach more than 1 m must in any case be fitted to the rear skipper on either side of a draft scale. Many inland vessels have multiple draft scales. The scale shown is on the front posts.

The zero point of each draft scale must be perpendicular to it, in a plane parallel to the plane of the largest depression passing through the lowest point of the ship's hull or of the keel, when present. The distance indicated on the scale from the zero point must be divided into decimal places. This layout must be applied from the surface of the waterline to empty depths up to 100 mm above the level of the largest depression on each draft scale by chopped or stamped marks.

This format must also be in the form of clearly visible, varied strips in two different colors. The format must be indicated next to the scale by at least every 5 decimal places and at the upper end. Also see
