William Rowley


William Rowley (ca. 1585 - buried February 11, 1626) was an English playwright at the time of Jacobus I.

About Rowley's life is very little known. Before 1610, he worked as an actor at the Queen Anne's Men company and in the 1620's at the King's Men at the Globe Theater.

William Rowley often worked with other writers, who appeared frequently at the time. He is known to have collaborated with Thomas Heywood, Thomas Middleton, John Fletcher, John Ford, Thomas Dekker and John Webster.
