Geniol con Coca was an Argentine rock band and under created in the 1980s. History
The group was led by the musician, actor, singer and mime Geniol, known among other things for participating as a mime in the presentation of the disc of the legendary band Sumo After Chabón at the Obras Sanitarias Stadium, before more than 4,000 people. It also counted on outstanding musicians of the new era of the Argentine rock in the '80, like the singer Sissi Hansen and the guitarist of the Violators Stuka. The band ended its existence with the incorporation of Geniol in Sumo band at the request of his friend Luca Prodan. Present
Its main member, Geniol, is dedicated to electro-acoustic research, and is considered a pioneer of the style that incorporates melody with a contrast of urban poetry. He has also developed the "Bufa opera", in which he investigates in depth the relationship between popular music, and the human needs of political freedom. He is currently a member of the Asociación Argentina de Luthiers, being a researcher of musical instruments with recycling material.
