Jaak Stervelynck (Kortrijk, December 10, 1920 - Kortrijk, November 5, 2005) is the pseudonym of Flemish author Henri Alfons Vergote. He studied law in Leuven and Ghent. In 1948 he married an Antwerp, and the couple got two children. In 1962, he debuted under the pseudonym, Jaak Stervelynck, with the novel 'De zorgvuldige schat'. He also wrote poems and plays. For the Gazette of Antwerp he wrote reviews under the pseudonym Lanseloot. His novels often have a religious theme. Externe link
