Matford Alsace V8

For homonymous articles, see Alsace (homonymy). Matford 1938

The Alsace V8 car is the first model specific to Matford, a French subsidiary of Ford, marketed in September 1935 with the chassis, the engine - a 3,6l V8 21 hp tax - and the bodywork, modified in its rear part , from the Ford V8-48.

In October 1935, at the appearance of a model 13 HP, the Alsace V8-62, with a body almost identical but shorter (the wheelbase was reduced) and the V8 whose engine capacity was reduced to 2.2l for 13 tax hp, the 21 hp becomes Alsace V8-66.

These cars are attractive by their nice and modern line. The technical features are classic: rigid axles front and rear, mechanical brakes, engine with side valves. edit code
