Samsu-ditana

Šamšu-ditana (also Shamshu-ditana), was the eleventh and last king (1625 BC - 1595 BC) (middle chronology) of the First Babylonian dynasty (Amorrea).

His reign appears in the Chronicle of ancient kings and in different Babylonian royal lists. However, no inscription of his reign has reached us. He ruled during a confused period, dominated by the economic and social crisis throughout the kingdom. It seems that lost the throne and life before the sudden attack of the Hittites commanded by their king Mursili I, who made an incursion in Babylon and destroyed (however not conquered).

Soon after, the casita dynasty would enter into Babylon, although the scarcity of sources makes the acquisition of the throne by that town very confusing.
