Joseph Benoît de Loën d'Enschede


Joseph Benoît de Loën d'Enschede (Roosbeek, August 11, 1756 - Ghent, February 3, 1844) was governor of West Flanders under the United Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The Loen was under the ancien régime officer in the Vierset regiment. In 1816 he was included in the Knightship of East Flanders with the title of Baron.

He was governor of West Flanders from October 5, 1815 to December 26, 1820.

Then he was appointed as a member of the First Chamber of the States General and later to the Chamber of Commander of Willem I.

He was a son of Baron Paul de Loën d'Enschede and Marie-Louise de Weustenraedt. He himself married Marie-Anne Rodriguez d'Evora and Vega (1750-1814) in succession and with Countess Henriette de Rindsmaul (1777-1863).
