Researchers have identified the area of the plane, located in a rocky outcrop, a kind of fortified acropolis and a necropolis. The necropolis consists of more than 200 tombs carved in artificial caves, excavated in the steep walls of a nearby quarry. The most monumental is the so-called "Tomb of the Prince", with a false statement made by four columns. The ceramic materials of the site are numerous, now on display in the archaeological museum "Paolo Orsi" of Siracusa, as well as artifacts and two bronze tombstones engraved with spiral symbols.
