The Catalan Tax Agency (in Catalan, Agència Tributària de Catalunya) is a newly created body, annulled by the Constitutional Court, which was supposed to assume the management, collection, liquidation and inspection of all taxes of its own. the Generalitat of Catalonia, and also, by delegation of the Spanish Government, of the national taxes totally ceded to it.
Its implementation was suspended since September 2015 after admitting the Government's appeal. On July 26, 2017, the Constitutional Court declared the Agency unconstitutional, in addition to other institutions that it was planned to put into operation.
