Le Frecce Tricolori (Italian for the three-color arrows), or 313th aerobatic training quadron is the demonstration team of the Italian Air Force. History

The team was founded in 1961 and was headed by Major Mario Squarcina at the time. Six F-86E Sabers flew, these aircraft were used as intercept aircraft at the Italian Air Force. In 1962 this was expanded to nine devices. The following year, the team crossed the Aeritalia G.91PAN, and in 1965 a tenth plane was added to the team.

In 1983, the team crossed the Aermacchi MB-339A / PAN, which is still used to date. This device can also use the 313th squadron in case of emergency as a light ground plane. Aircraft Crash 1988
