Shingon-risshū (真言 律宗, "Shingon-Vinaya School") is a medieval sect of relatively small Japanese Buddhism that emerged in the Kamakura era as an offshoot of the Shingon sect. The founder is a disciple of Jōkei, a monk named Eison (叡 尊 1201-1290) whose work is being pursued by his disciple Ninshō (忍性 1217-1303).

The school is distinguished by a greater emphasis on the Vinaya monastic code (including the complete precepts and rules for monks observed by traditional Buddhist sects) than traditional Shingon Buddhism, while respecting Tantric practices. His temple of residence is Saidai-ji in Nara. Sourcemode the code Referencingchange the code
