Bridge of San Antón (Cuenca)

Bridge of San Antón.

The bridge of San Antonio (or commonly called San Antón bridge by the conquenses) is a stone bridge that crosses the river Jucar and gives way to the popular neighborhood of San Antón in Cuenca.

Built in the 18th century, it came to replace another much older bridge, apparently of Muslim origin.

It is located exactly on the first section of the Hoz del Jucar, and on the other side of the bridge there is the Church of the Virgen de la Luz, a Renaissance church that houses the divinity of the patron saint of the city.
