Prunelli refers to all the territories situated in the Prunelli River watershed, that is to say the old pieve of Sampiero (Bastelica region), to which are added the municipalities of Pietrosella and Cotilini. Chiavari and the coastal area of the municipalities of Grosseto-Prugna (Porticcio) and Albitreccia (Molini), all former winter transhumance lands of the inhabitants of the Taravo Valley but located on the Prunelli slope.
