Gerard II of Horne


Gerard II of Horne (ca. 1320 - 26 September 1345) was a medieval nobleman. He was a son of Willem IV of Horne and Oda van Putten and Strijen. During his father's life he was already Lord of Heeze and Leende. After his father's death he inherited the delights Horn, and Altena. He was also Lord in Weert, Nederweert, Wessem, Kortessem and Gaasbeek.

Gerard fell in battle at Stavoren. He did not leave any legal children. After his death, the glorious rights came into being of his sister Johanna van Horne.

At his death, the following verse was made:
