The company name was: Wilkin Motors Ltd., Sheffield.
Wilkin was an English motorcycle brand that built 346 and 496cc models with Blackburne engines since 1919, which sometimes had a completely closed chain and rear suspension. The gearboxes were purchased from Sturmey-Archer. There was also a lighter model with a 269cc-Villiers two-stroke engine and a two-speed gearbox, chosen by Albion or Burman.
In 1920, G. Wilkin undertook a 5.334 mile drive along the British coast, with a jury member of the Auto-Cycle Union in the sidecar. This ride was completed in 32 days. However, Wilkin was one of the hundreds of small brands that originated after the First World War and had to end production in 1923 due to major competition.
